Kamonkade’s mother urges police to act on her daughter’s case

The mother of a paramedic killed at Pathum Wanaram Temple on 19 May has urged the police to proceed with the case forwarded to it by the Department of Special Investigation.

On 28 Dec, Payao Akkahad submitted a petition to Metropolitan Police Deputy Commander Pol Maj Gen Amnuay Nimmano, urging the police to act on the killings at the temple within 15 days.

She said that she had read the DSI investigation report which suggested that the police proceed further with the case in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code.

It has been 7 months since the incident, but the process has been delayed by the police despite the completion of the DSI investigation, resulting in a loss of evidence, she said.

She said that she would file a complaint with the National Anti-Corruption Committee against the police for malfeasance if the police did not act in 15 days.

On March 12, 2004 Somchai

On March 12, 2004 Somchai Neelphaijit was pulled from his car by five policemen and has never again been seen since. The only thing that has happened in the case was the conviction of a Police Major Ngern Thongsuk. "The court convicted him of coercion, since to abduct a person and kill them is not a crime in Thailand if remains of the body cannot be found...", and Police Major Ngern Thongsuk has since 'disappeared' himself, in a flood, and his family is petitioning for him to be declared dead, hence free to resume life under an assumed identity.

On June 18, 2005 thugs in league with local influential people and 'a national politician' brutally murdered Phra Supoj Suvacanno in A.Fang J.Chiangmai (1,2,3,4). The only thing that has happened in the case has been the attempted vilification of the victim himself by the DSI, who planted pornography on his computer as is their stupid, clumsy, and vicious wont.

The job of the 'authorities' is to make sure that the guilty go unpunished.

The Thai amat takes pleasure in mocking justice and the more outrageously it is able to do so the better gratified it is. The people must be made fools of and taunted as well as tortured, murdered, and swindled of justice.

In seven more years the same stalling and mockery of justice will have been long drawn out in the case of Kamonkade...

Or the present regime will have been defeated in an election and the entire Thai government deconstructed and reconstructed along just and rational lines, with the people acknowledged as the sovereigns in their own country, and the amat relegated to the trash heap of history.

"The Thai amat takes pleasure in mocking justice and the more outrageously it is able to do so the better gratified it is. The people must be made fools of and taunted as well as tortured, murdered, and swindled of justice."

Yes, I'm afraid that is all too true. The more outrageous the mocking of law and justice, the more power you must have. The more power the amart feel they have, the better they feel and the more self-esteem and self-importance they have.

Surely Thais must be close to realising they don't need these people like a dead weight around their necks?
