The mother of a paramedic killed at Pathum Wanaram Temple on 19 May has urged the police to proceed with the case forwarded to it by the Department of Special Investigation.

On 28 Dec, Payao Akkahad submitted a petition to Metropolitan Police Deputy Commander Pol Maj Gen Amnuay Nimmano, urging the police to act on the killings at the temple within 15 days.

She said that she had read the DSI investigation report which suggested that the police proceed further with the case in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code.

It has been 7 months since the incident, but the process has been delayed by the police despite the completion of the DSI investigation, resulting in a loss of evidence, she said.

She said that she would file a complaint with the National Anti-Corruption Committee against the police for malfeasance if the police did not act in 15 days.
