Well, I think there are two

Well, I think there are two major costs here - leasing the satellite slot and putting the crew on the ground.

True opens new 24/7 channels up almost every week and fills them with rubbish, so satellite costs aren't very high, even if True gets a better deal from their providers than ASTV from their Hong Kong company.

Crew on the ground cost peanuts. Equipment is already there, they don't need to rent it.

Engineers in the studio get their usual salaries.

I have no idea what they could spend 100 mil on even if they wanted.

After 2006 protests Sondhi said that some people paid very good money in his accounts, at 100-200k a pop. Also receiving ASTV is not free and their subscriber base grew tremendously in the past couple of years.

Big rallies like UDD must be more expensive than PAD long sit ins with their fixed water/food costs for a couple of thousand of hard core supporters.
