There's little doubt that Thaksin and his allies have been funding the Red Shirts movement and Peuah Thai. This is quite an open knowledge. In the Time's recent interview with Thaksin, he didn't really deny this.

The funding sources of ASTV-Manager-Yellow shirt PAD have been more secretive. FYI, it costs approximately 100 million Baht per day for a live coverage like the one they broadcasted on ASTV News 1 of last year; ASTV had it running for 193 days-- you work out the maths! This certainly was one of the most expensive operations to topple elected government. My advice for any progressive journalist/media figure interested in probing into the operation of ASTV-Manager is-- 'just follow the money.'
