Amnesty International Thailand and Thammasat University are pleased to announce a talk by the 24 year old member of Burma's 88' Generation Student Group, Nwe Hnin Yee a.k.a. Noe Noe.

Noe Noe was sentenced in 2008 to serve 11 years in prison for her involvement in the 2007 Saffron Revolution in Burma. She was released on October 12, 2011, under the general amnesty. She will be accompanied by her cousin brother, Nyi Nyi Aung, who is one of the leaders of the 88' Generation Students Group.

Join us in welcoming them to Bangkok, and listen to Noe Noe's inspiring story and experiences as a student activist in Burma and of life inside prison. Her speech will be followed by a discussion and Q and A, providing everyone the opportunity to engage and interact with Noe Noe and Nyi Nyi Aung. Her experiences and the discussions can help us gain new insights and understanding about the emerging changes in Burma.  AI Thailand would also like to take this opportunity to introduce more people to our work and ongoing campaigns.

We hope to see you there!
